About the Artist
Megan McKiernan is a watercolour artist from Ontario, Canada. She dedicates her evenings to working in her home studio, enjoying the company of her husband and cats, and always keeping a cup of tea nearby during her evening creative sessions.
She explores various art styles and enjoys experimenting with different art mediums. Watercolour is her preferred medium, and she is committed to practicing it for 10,000 hours. In a time when paper art is becoming as rare as books, she is dedicated to preserving traditional art forms. Her creations are inspired by her affection for her cats, her interest in history and architecture, her appreciation for zen, and her desire to bring joy to others through her art.
She is involved with multiple art galleries in Ontario and enjoys supporting the art community by donating and taking part in local events.
Megan is the creator behind The Tippy Journeys and the Malachi, Where's Your Duck collection. She is presently crafting additional works for both collections and is in the process of creating her debut illustrative book!
She has been selected twice as a featured artist for permanent art installations. Her original artworks have been sold to a national historic museum, and she has collaborated with other artists and authors, contributing illustrations to an independent comic and designing a book cover. She actively participates in the artist community by attending major conventions and events, while building a fan base for her Tippy Journeys and Malachi Where's Your Duck collections.
